Ric has been playing basketball for 35 years and has been coaching for the past three. No stranger to coaching, Ric has also been coaching soccer teams for the past 12 years.
Throughout his playing career he played both Youth League and State League for a number of Sydney teams including the Bankstown Bruins, Liverpool Patriots and Campbelltown Ghosts.
Ric actually met his wife Kelly whilst they were both playing State League for the same club in their late teens. They have 3 kids who are all actively playing at the club. Ric’s eldest son Bowen, was recently part of the Championship winning 18.2’s side from last season.
When he’s not courtside, Ric leads a team of presales engineers and architects for a large global technology company.
From Ric . . . “I am passionate about growth. Everyday, I try to be better than I was yesterday. I take this philosophy and try to instil it in my players. I want them to feel the same passion for growth and improvement. I’ve seen firsthand what this can do for a players game over the years. I hope this ethos drives them, that it helps them, the way it has me.”
