This is Mark’s rookie year of rep coaching, but comes to us with a wealth of basketball experience and knowledge!!
Mark’s been playing basketball since the ‘80s, and continues to day to this day! He played rep basketball for the Western Suburbs Magpies. Coaching began when his son Lachlan showed a interest in the game, but he did need to convince his son he could play, before he would let him coach him! It was winning in that very first season that ignited a flame, and Mark realised that he had a real passion for developing basketballers at the grassroots level. In 2018 he co-founded the Neutral Bay Blazers Basketball Association, which has now grown to 11 teams.
Away from the court Mark is a Chartered Accountant who runs a practice in Milsons Point
Mark has one son Lachlan at the Bulls, and another Bradley, trialling this year fo the first time.
From Mark . . . I enjoy teaching boys, particularly those new to the game, new skills and the important role they each play in a team. I get a real thrill as I help a young player grow or coach a team of juniors as they run a play for the first time.
